ALOPECIA INDUZIDA POR QUIMIOTERAPIA: REPERCUSSÕES BIOPSICOSSOCIAIS NA IMAGEM CORPORAL E NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA

Resumo

A alopecia induzida por quimioterapia constitui um dos efeitos adversos mais impactantes do tratamento oncológico, com repercussões que ultrapassam o aspecto físico e afetam diretamente a imagem corporal e a qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar, por meio de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, as repercussões biopsicossociais da alopecia induzida por quimioterapia em pacientes oncológicos. A busca foi realizada nas bases SciELO, PubMed, Latindex e repositórios OJS, considerando publicações entre 2022 e 2026, nos idiomas português e inglês. Foram incluídos 13 estudos que evidenciaram impactos significativos da alopecia na autoestima, identidade pessoal, saúde emocional e relações sociais. Os resultados demonstram que a perda capilar está associada a sofrimento psicológico, ansiedade, distorção da autoimagem e redução da qualidade de vida, sendo influenciada por fatores individuais e socioculturais. Além disso, estratégias como hipotermia do couro cabeludo, próteses capilares e intervenções psicossociais mostraram potencial para minimizar tais impactos. Conclui-se que a alopecia induzida por quimioterapia representa um fenômeno biopsicossocial complexo, demandando abordagem multiprofissional e cuidado integral ao paciente oncológico.
